Obituary for Milton Thomas Gleghorn

Milton Thomas Gleghorn
Milton Thomas Gleghorn was born to Robert and Bertha Haley Gleghorn on 3/9/1918, the third of seven children. Milton was a bachelor and dairy farmer for the first 40 years of his life until he met and married Oleene Gleghorn on 9/19/1958. In 1964 Milton felt the calling to become a preacher and moved his family to Lubbock, Texas to attend the Sunset Church of Christ School of Ministry. Milton spent two years working to become ordained and his first church to pastor was in Lamar, Mo in 1967. He remained a Church of Christ minister until retirement in 2011 having served several church's in Missouri and Oklahoma. Milton continued to serve God by attending to the needs of those around him at his retirement home as well as thousands of other lives he touched by his always present love, gentleness and smile. Milton is survived by sisters Marinell and Vera Lou, brother Glenn; two sons Gary and Philip; daughter Jamie (the light of his life); 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Milton will be missed a great deal by all who knew and loved him but our family in Heaven has welcomed him home.
