Floyd Lucas of Irving passed away January 11, 2018. He was born on May 14, 1930 in Swan Lake, Mississippi to Dewey F. Lucas Sr. and Verna (Richards) Lucas. Floyd will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved to spend time with his family and playing golf. He served his country in the US Army before going into the plumbing business. He is preceded in death by his parents. Left behind to cherish his memory are wife Lawanda Richardson; son Don Lucas; daughters Tricia Robinson; Leslie Haack and husband Kalum; LeAnn Gregory and husband Troy; Lora Briggs and husband Sean; sister Ganell Beal; grandchildren Jon-Paul Robinson; Brian Lucas; Matte Pool; Brooks Haack; Connor Briggs; Rowan Briggs; Gavin Briggs; Hope Gregory; Grant Gregory; great-grandchildren Gage, Tanner, Addison and Olivia. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the funeral service at 2:00pm on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will immediately follow the funeral service at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
