Obituary for Arthur Doyle Ivins

Arthur Doyle  Ivins
Doyle Ivins, a resident of Irving for 57 years, passed away July 11, 2013. He was born to Arthur Otto and Virgil Brawner Ivins, December 19, 1930 in St. Jo, Texas. He was a corporal in the US Army and a member of the Golden Triangle Saddle Club, Lewisville Riding Clubs, and a lifetime member of American Association of Sheriff Posses and Saddle Club. He was an Irving barber for 57 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Lois Jean Garrison and brother Hershel Ivins. He is survived by his wife Linda; daughter Connie Ivins of Irving; sister Jimmie and husband J. T. Swearingin of Shreveport, Louisiana; brother-in-law Earl Ray Garrison of St. Jo, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family wish to acknowledge Judy Bickham, and John and Jillian Ross and staff of VIP Living Center. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 15, 2013, at the Kirkwood United Methodist Church, with Pastor Preston Weaver officiating. Burial will be Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. Visitation will be Sunday July 14, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
