Obituary for Margarette I. Oxford (Rose)
Margarette Oxford, age 91 and longtime Irving resident, died on January 21, 2015. She was born in Lawrence, Kansas on September 25, 1923 to Walter and Elizabeth Rose. Margarette was a devoted wife and mother and spent her days caring for her home and nurturing her family. She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Harold Oxford. Left to cherish Margarette’s memory are her daughters Penne Dicken and husband Dale; Candy Jackson and her husband Don; sons Michael Johnson and his wife Mary Jo; Mark Oxford and granddaughter Lauren Dicken along with numerous friends who will all forever miss her hugs and loving nature. A funeral service will be held for Margarette at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 26, 2015 in Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with interment immediately following at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 25, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 PM and requests memorial donations to the DFW Humane Society at www.dfwhumane.com or 4140 Valley View Lane, Irving, Texas 75038.
