Louise   Umsted
Louise Tomlinson Umsted, went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2015. Born July 10, 1936 in Pampa, Texas to Lena (Muse) and Ed Tomlinson, raised & educated in Weatherford Texas, Baptized at the age of 13 at First Baptist Church in Weatherford, TX. Married to Harry Joe Umsted on August 17, 1955 in Mineral Wells, TX. She had one Daughter, Judy Alena Umsted Baum; granddaughter, Jordan Elizabeth Baum and grandson, Daniel William Baum III. As a long time Irving resident since 1958, she volunteered at Irving Hospital, played golf, cards, and Train, with her friends at Las Colinas Country Club. She loved to study her Bible, singing and dancing with her husband of 60 years. She lived a full life, from business owner to avid bowler, Louise gave her all to everything she loved. A member of Irving North Christian Church, LCCC, U.S. Bowling Congress, Irving Women’s Network, AMBUCS, Owner of Source 1 Travel, Capri Coiffure’s, Homebuilder with WHITE Realty, she helped others realize their dreams. Preceded in death by parents, sisters Evelyn, Daurtha & Mozell and brothers Eddie & Billy, and stillborn infant son Joe Ray Umsted. Survived by many nieces, nephews and cherished loving friends. Church Services celebrating her life, will be held on Thursday October 29, 2015, 10 AM at Irving North Christian Church, 2901 N. MacArthur Blvd. Irving, Texas, 75062 with Pastor Chris Carathers officiating. The family will receive friends at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home in Irving from 6:30 to 8:30 PM on Wednesday, October 28, 2015.
