Paul J. Owens, age 69, died Monday, January 4, 2016. He was born in Dallas, Texas to James Jennings Owens and Alice (Erwin) Owens on July 17, 1946. Paul was a resident of Irving for 50 plus years; enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time, but above all was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Don and John Owens and sister Julia Williams; left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 51 years, Judy (Newton) Owens of Irving; daughters Patricia Cothren and husband Robert, of Richland Hills and Sheri Owens of Irving; son Timmothy Paul Owens and wife Jayne of New Braunfels, Texas; grandsons Richard Lovelace and Kolby Owens; granddaughter Joey Owens; great granddaughter Luna Lovelace. The family will receive friends, Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home between 7 pm and 9 pm. A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm, Friday, January 8, 2016 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens with Dr. Jim Gerlach officiating.
