Norma Jean Olive of Caddo Mills, Texas, formerly of Irving passed away June 6, 2016. Norma was born in Newburgh, Indiana on October 6, 1930 to John W. Ellis and Anna (Derrington) Ellis. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands Robert Fisher, and Miles Olive; son Mark Olive and brother Michael Ellis. Left behind to cherish her memory are daughter Judi Ratliff and husband Roger of Caddo Mills; son Stephen Fisher of Caddo Mills; daughter Tina McCommas and husband Tim of Arlington; brother Dr. John Ellis and wife Helen of Virginia; brother David Ellis and wife Sandi of Howell, MI.; sister Mary Jane Wedding of Newburgh, IN.; and sister-in-law Sande Ellis of Fort Myers, FL.; grandson Roger W. Ratliff and wife Penny; grandson Richard A. Ratliff and wife Jean; grandson Matthew McCommas; granddaughter Emily McCommas; 5 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren along with numerous other family and friends. Norma used her natural gift of nurturing and became a nurse where she worked to take care of others. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a loving mom who raised her children with unconditional love and understanding and a loving grandmother who was devoted to her grandchildren. She had a way of making each person feel special and was called Mom by many. The family invites you to celebrate Norma’s life and legacy of love, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday June 13, 2016 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 10:00 am at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Roger Ratliff officiating. A graveside service will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 12:30 pm, Tuesday, June 14, 2016.
