Obituary for Don George Hoaldridge

Don George Hoaldridge
Don Hoaldridge, 71, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday morning, July 31, 2016 after a battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Monday August 22, 2016 at Plymouth Park Baptist Church 1714 N. Story Road, Irving, Texas. Visitation will follow immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the church or Campus Crusade for Christ is suggested. Don was born February 16, 1945 in Fort Worth where he was reared in Riverside and graduated from Carter-Riverside High School in 1963. He served in the US Navy Reserve for several years. He spent some time studying in college and spent most of his working career with the Dallas Independent School District. Don moved to Irving in 1980 where he joined Plymouth Park Baptist Church. He served our Lord for over 30 years at the church, and was active in the deacon fellowship and in the music, teaching, and senior adult ministries. He was loved by all and he loved others by pouring his life into making their lives better. He will be dearly missed. Don was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Marti Hoaldridge, Sr. and his mother Dorothy Lee Hoaldridge (Atkinson). He was never married, and had no children, but all who knew him called him Friend. He is survived by brother Vernon Marti (Pat) Hoaldridge and wife Judy; brother Jon Milton Hoaldridge and wife Marie and numerous nieces nephews and cousins.
