Patsy Bess Mathison Mathena, age 80, Irving resident for 56 years, previously from Corsicana and Wortham Texas, died Thursday, September 8, 2016. She was born in Wortham, Texas on January 25, 1936 to James Roderick and Ruby Pearl (Spakes) Mathison. Patsy was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed scrapbooking and sewing. She worked as an assignment clerk for General Telephone Co. for 17 years before her retirement in 1982 and was a member of Grace Point Church. She is preceded in death by spouse, mother and brother. Left to cherish her memory is sister Peggy Jean Neal of Dallas; son Billy Lynn Waller and wife Trish of Bellevue, TX; daughter Becky Ann Harrison of Fayetteville, Arkansas; daughter Tayme Deanne Roloff and husband Steve of Garland; son Ronnie Joe Waller and wife Kristi of Anna; 8 grandchildren Aimee Porter, Krystal Tyler, Thressa Stehr, Amanda Potter, Sarah Martin, Kyle Waller, Karmin Roloff and Courtney Rhyne, along with numerous nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. A visitation will be held Monday, September 12, 2016 between 6:00 and 8:00 pm at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 am, Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the funeral home and an interment 2:00 pm at Wortham Cemetery in Wortham, TX.
