Obituary for Carmen Martinez Arredondo

Carmen Martinez  Arredondo
Carmen M. Arredondo of Irving passed away September 13, 2016 in Irving. He was born on June 28, 1926 in Corbert, Texas to Pastor and Maria De Jesus (Martinez) Arredondo. Carmen will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He served in the US Army during WWII, before serving the public as a Dallas County Deputy Sheriff. Carmen was a member of Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Inez Rodriguez; brother Anselmo Arredondo; sister Bernarda Ayala and daughter Melinda Redding. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife Oralia Arredondo of Irving; sons Carmen P. Arredondo, Jr. of Austin; Edward Arredondo and wife Regina of New York; James “Jaime” Arredondo and wife Claudia of Queens, New York; Sister, Sr. Irene Arredondo of San Antonio; brother Luis “Joe” Arredondo of Dallas; Stepson Ricardo Delbosque and wife Elizabeth; stepdaughters Linda Ramirez of Dallas; Rosie Ramirez of Shreveport, Louisiana; and Rachel Ramirez of Dallas; grandchildren Adrian P. Arredondo; Gabriela I. Arredondo; and numerous other extended family and friends. The family wishes to thank The Holy Family Church Members for their support. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Monday, 9/19/2016 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home with a Rosary being said at 7:00 pm. The mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, 9/20/2016 at Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church in Irving. Interment will follow at 12:30 pm Tuesday at The Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
