Mary Lou Mann, age 89, died Friday, January 13, 2017. She was born in McAlester, Oklahoma to Gerome William and Esther Cornelia (Patterson) Shield on March 27, 1927. Mary Lou has been an Irving Resident since 1974, a longtime member of Plymouth Park Baptist Church and she was a tax clerk for 25 years for the City of Dallas until her retirement in 1993. She is preceded in death by her parents, both her husbands George Harris and Jerry Mann, son Paul Houston Harris and daughter Mary Esther McKinney. Left to cherish her memory are nephews Lowell Snow, Ruffin Snow, Glenn Shield, and Mark Shield; grandsons Patrick and Collin McKinney, along with numerous friends. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, January 16, 2016 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home in Irving.
