Obituary for Gary Clayton Sele

Gary Clayton  Sele
Gary Sele of Irving passed away February 4, 2017. He was born on May 20, 1939 in Hallock, Minnesota to George and Ethel Sele. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother and friend to many. Gary served in The US Army in Japan. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir and volunteered for the food bank. He was also a member of The Silvertones Choir and participated in the Irving Sr. Arts Program and he loved to play cards with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are wife Shirley Sele of Irving; daughter Robin Edison and husband Frank of Sanger, Texas; Son Troy Sele and wife Brenda of Haslet, Texas; son Brian Sele and wife Pam of Arlington, Texas; daughter Sandy McDonald and husband Stephen of Maumelle, Arkansas; grandchildren James, Mandy, Nathan, Megan, Ryan, Will and Clay; great-grandchildren Brianna, Adam and Blake; brother Gene Sele and wife Donna of Portland, Oregon; brother Mike and wife Ann of St. Paul, Minnesota. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at 2620 West Grauwyler with Pastor Brad Carroll officiating. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. Memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
