Obituary for Carl Allen "Allen" Lewis

Carl Allen "Allen"  Lewis
Carl Allen Lewis of Irving passed away April 10, 2017. He was born on December 28, 1939 in Hickory Ridge, Arkansas to Marvin Oscar and Ethel (Clinghan) Lewis. He served in the United States Army and later retired from the United States Air Force Reserves and finished his career as a carrier for the United States Postal Service. Carl was a long-time member of Oak View Baptist Church in Irving. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Marvin Junior Lewis and William Alvin Lewis. He leaves behind to cherish his memory; wife Rena Lewis of Irving; son Brian Lewis of Dallas; daughter Cynthia Lewis and spouse Rhonda Raz of Dallas; brother John Willis Lewis of Conway, Arkansas; sister Kathleen Love of Jonesboro, Arkansas; grandson Tyler Markert and spouse Ashley great-grandchildren Nathan Riley Markert; Grayson Anthony Markert along with many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A private service will be held later with Dr. Jim Gerlach officiating. Interment will follow at Morrow Chapel Cemetery in Ola, Texas.
