Obituary for James Liggett Carmean Jr.

James “Jimmy” Carmean, age 66 and lifelong Irving resident, passed away on April 24, 2017. He was born in Dallas, Texas to James Liggett and Marian (Smith) Carmean on August 1, 1950. Jimmy attended and graduated Irving High School Irving, Class of 1968. He made many lifelong friends during his time as a member of the Irving High School Tiger Band, where he played the clarinet. Jimmy became a successful computer analyst for MasterCard, was a member of the First Methodist Church of Irving and was an avid baseball fan, his favorite team of course was the Texas Rangers. He is preceded in death by his parents; left to cherish his memory is wife of 45 years, Sandra Carmean; son Christopher Carmean and wife Amber; daughter Andrea Hargrave and husband Jeremiah; daughter Catherine Vicars and husband James; grandchildren Mia Carmean, Maddox Carmean and Logan Hargrave along with numerous other extended family and friends. Jimmy was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all. A funeral service will be conducted 10:00 am, Thursday, May 4, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, 211 W. 3rd St., Irving, TX, with interment at Restland Cemetery in Dallas immediately following.
