Dockey “Doc” Bryson, age 85, died surrounded by his loving family Thursday, April 27, 2017. He was born in DePort, Texas to Robert Henry and Vera M. (Singleton) Bryson on October 30, 1931. Doc served in the U.S. Navy during the Cold War era, and was a loving father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his wife Glynda Bryson, his parents, brother Jerry Bryson and son Terry Bryson. Left to cherish his memory is beloved friend Wanda Phillips; son Robert Bryson and wife Jennifer; daughter Teresa Moreland; grandchildren Ben Moreland, Brittany Yeargan, James Yeargan, Derek Bryson and Jennifer Bryson along with numerous other extended family and friends. An inurnment with Military Honors will be held at the DFW National Cemetery on May 19, 2017 at 10:30am. Following, the family will hold an Open House, Celebration of Life gathering at Mr. Bryson’s home in Irving, from 12:00 to 3:00pm. Please contact the family directly for address.
