Carolyn DeLorge of North Richland Hills passed away May 3, 2017. She was born on October 16, 1940 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to Arthur Thomas Rouse and Elinor “Austin” Rouse. Carolyn lived in Irving from 1967 to 1999 and was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church while living in Irving. She enjoyed baseball and loved the New York Giants. She also enjoyed traveling. She was especially proud of all her grandchildren and with her love of the military she was proud of her grandson who is currently serving in the US Army. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents and leaves behind to cherish her memory sons Fred DeLorge and wife Liz of Lewisville, Texas; Don DeLorge and wife Denisa of Irving; John DeLorge of North Richland Hills, Texas; and Ron DeLorge and wife Renee of Bedford; daughter Cherie Alcantara and husband Gregg of Kansas City, Missouri; sisters Sue Burgess and husband Bill of Biddeford, Maine and Cindy Gatewood and husband Rick of Tomball, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
