James “Jim” Leonard, age 87, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017. He was born in Graham, Texas to Houston and Grace (Davis) Leonard on May 10, 1930. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, his greatest joy in life, was spending time with his family and listening to music. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Margaret. Left to cherish his memory is wife of 56 years Iris Leonard; daughter Becky Bruenig and husband Bill; daughter Mary Lenora Strickland and husband Randy; son J. Curt Leonard; daughter Mary Marx and husband Bryan; sister Polly Bowman and husband Ray; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren along with numerous extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Plymouth Park United Methodist Church, 972-255-4185, 1615 Airport Freeway, Irving, TX 75062, make checks payable to Jim Leonard Memorial, all donations need to notate “Community Support Fund”, to ensure funds are distributed correctly.
