Odell Hickman of Ft. Worth passed away July 11, 2017 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on February 15, 1934 in Capitan, New Mexico to Dee and Alta May “Owens” Hickman. Odell worked for Exxon for 30 years before retiring. He married the love of his life Shirley Carter on November, 28, 1958. He enjoyed bowling and was the secretary/treasurer for The Dallas Men’s Bowling Association for 10 years. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Jay D. Hickman and Sister Fay Weddige. Left to cherish his memory are wife Shirley Hickman of Ft. Worth; son David Hickman and wife Cindy of Crowley, Texas; and granddaughter Kendall Hickman. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm on Friday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel, Texas.
