Obituary for Joelle Goode (Speer)

Joelle  Goode (Speer)
Joelle Gay Goode, born November 25, 1935 in Oklahoma City, OK and passed away August 10, 2017 in Garland, Texas after a brief illness. Preceded in death by her sister Marlin Easley and grandson Zachary Good. Survived by husband of 57 years, Leamon Charles Goode, daughters Charlotte Good and husband Don Paul, Cassandra Currie and husband Shawn, and Jennifer Bowen; son Charlie Goode and wife Maria; grandchildren Haley Webb and Bryan Bassman, Joseph and Michelle Webb, Julia Currie, Hannah, Peter and Georgia Goode and great-grand children Carson and Landon Webb. Raised in Irving Texas, Jo Gay graduated from Irving High School in 1955. In 1960 Jo Gay married Charles Goode and soon the two purchased a home in Garland, Texas where they raised their 4 children and have resided for almost 58 years. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 9:30 am on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Douglas Herrell officiating. Interment will follow the service at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 11:30 am. Memorial donations may be made to Make a Wish Foundation at www. wish.org.
