Obituary for Gloria Ann Mignone

Gloria Ann Mignone, age 85, died peacefully at home on Thursday, August 17, 2017. She was born in Coppell, Texas on January 23, 1932 to Jim and Susie (West) Story. Gloria retired from Mobil Oil after 35 years of service in the accounting department. She enjoyed various crafts and games such as reading, puzzles, and needle work. Gloria loved genealogy, and the work she did as a computer family historian. She was a world traveler and an active member of The Daughters of the Texas Republic. Gloria was a great artist and painter, and an absolute fan of Tom Selleck. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Fred Anthony Mignone, brothers Archie, O.D. and Jimmy Story, uncle Fred Hooser and aunt Elizabeth Hooser. Left to cherish her memory is sister Polly Renner; grandson Anthony Mignone along with numerous nieces, nephews and additional extended family and friends. A visitation will be held at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 N. MacArthur Blvd, Between 6:00 and 8:00 pm, Friday, August 25, 2017. A funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the funeral home. The family would like to invite everyone, after the service, to bring their own parasol and join the family at Kit Cemetery, for a New Orleans style second line band service.
