Obituary for Lewis L. Cannon

Lewis L. Cannon, age 73, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family Sunday, August 27, 2017. He was born in Petaluma, California to Raymond and Mary (Cunningham) Cannon on October 28, 1943. Lewis served in the U.S. Airforce, during the Vietnam War, was a member of the American Legion, the Sr. Arts Group, a volunteer at Baylor Scott and White hospital and an active member at Plymouth Park Baptist Church, all located in Irving. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, as well as a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. Lewis is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mary Train and Nettie Cannon. Left to cherish his memory is wife of 15 years Faith Cannon; daughter Debbie Hurley and husband James; son William L. Cannon and wife Julie; son Steven Cannon and wife Patricia; daughter Peggy Cope and husband Ryan; son Michael Kelley; step son David Hamilton and wife Connie; stepson George Willingham and wife Christine; sister in law Patricia Petrin; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren along with numerous extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, September 15,2017 at Plymouth Park Baptist Church, with Pastor Bob Harper officiating. An inurnment with Military Honors will be held at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, at a later date, yet to be determined.
