Obituary for Milton R. Hall
Milton Reese Hall, age 85, died August 28, 2017. He was born in rural Warren County Mississippi July 5, 1932, the first of two sons of Alvin Howard Hall and Adelle Vera McKay Hall, and lived there until his graduation from Mississippi Southern University in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army at Fort Jackson, South Carolina from 1953 through 1955 at which time he returned to the University of Mississippi for work on a Graduate Degree. There he met his future wife, Margaret Louise Bailey and graduated in 1956 with an MBA degree in Accounting. The Halls were married on February 17, 1957.During his career, Mr. Hall worked for Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Company from 1956 to 1966 in South Louisiana and Oakland, California and Texas Instruments, Inc. in 1966 in Dallas, Texas before joining Koch Industries, Inc. in Wichita, Kansas from 1967 to 1993 when he retired as a Vice President of the company. Mr. Hall has been a member of Fellowship Church of Grapevine, Texas since he and his wife moved to Texas following his retirement. Mr. Hall was also a musician, having played Clarinet and Saxophone in college bands and orchestras and having earned spending money during College by playing in Dance Orchestras on weekends. During their lifetime, together, Mr. & Mrs. Hall developed a passion for travel, and were fortunate enough to have been able to travel in all 50 States of our United States and to travel to 23 countries on 6 continents around the World. They made friends around the World by living with and home-hosting people from a number of countries. Milton is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Bailey Hall; two children, Mark Russell Hall of Salt Lake City, Utah and Stacy Elaine Hall Noordhoff of Dallas, Texas; and four granddaughters, Jamie Michelle Hall and Jacqueline Elizabeth Hall of Salt Lake City, Utah and Chandler Grace Noordhoff and Schuyler Hall Noordhoff of Dallas, Texas. Services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, September 2 at Brown Memorial Funeral Home 707 N. MacArthur Blvd. Irving, Texas. Burial will take place at 11 am on Monday, September at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway Dallas, Texas 75211.
