Samuel “Sammy” R. Garcia, age 54, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Thursday, October 19, 2017. He was born in Miguel Aleman, Mexico to Jacinto and Dora (Reyes) Garcia on April 25, 1963. Samuel enjoyed grilling, being with family, playing the drums, and was a #1 fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He attended his parents church, Sendero De Amor. Samuel was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, who will be deeply missed by all that knew him. He is preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth Benavides and granddaughter Eliza Garcia. Left to cherish his memory and the short time they had with him are his parents, Jacinto and Dora; wife Belinda (Aguilar) Garcia; children Brian, Marcus and his wife Lily, Erik and Samantha Garcia; grandchildren Carson and Michael Garcia; sister Dina Garcia; brother Josue Garcia and wife Mayra; sister Mildred Guzman and husband Edgar; brother Nic Garcia and wife Tammie; sister Ivonne Laughlin and husband Steve along with numerous extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Friday, October 27, 2017 at brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 N. MacArthur Blvd. in Irving, with an interment at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 E. Irving Blvd, immediately following the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 26, 2017 between 6:00 and 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
