Eva Yonnie Guenther, age 74, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, October 21, 2017. She was born in Burnet, Texas to Carl C. and Pearl (Wingfield) Yonnie on September 6, 1943. Eva was an Avon sales representative for over 50 years, she was working with Avon up until her passing. She had a fondness for birds and enjoyed bird watching, especially hawks. Eva was a cross word enthusiast, avid reader and in her days of ole she enjoyed scuba diving with her husband. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Gary Guenther, brother Carl Yonnie and nephew Wesley Yonnie; Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Teena Guenther; brother Billy Yonnie; sister Mallie Morgan; mother in law Maxine Guenther; nieces and nephews Monjit, Sonya and Rani Tanya Guram, Leea Henderson, Kimberley Mitchell and Randall Yonnie along with numerous extended family and friends. A graveside service will be held 2:00pm, Tuesday October 24, 2017 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 E. Irving Blvd, Irving, Texas. Memorial donations if desired are requested to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org. The Family welcomes all family and friends to attend a reception after the Committal Service from 2:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday for a time of fellowship and remembrance. Appreciation to Kirkwood United Methodist Church for their hospitality and grace granting this time for the family.
