Mary Dixon, age 86, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Mary was born in Dallas, Texas on April 30, 1931 to Ward Harmon Remele and Nell Remele. Mary was the secretary to the Manager of Operations at Braniff Airways for 15 years before retiring in 1982. She loved quilting, needlepoint, and arts & crafts. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter Janet Dixon; brother Laird Remele. Left to cherish her memory are husband of 68 years, John Dixon; son Tom Dixon and wife Anne; grandchildren Lindsey Green and husband Bryce, Joshua Miller and wife Billie Joy, Jonathan Bradry and wife Sarah, Jared Miller and wife Briana, and Lara Miller; great grandchildren Gracen Green, Ryleigh Adams, Brannon Miller, and Avonlea Miller. The family will welcome friends and family from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Monday, November 13, 2017 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home 707 North MacArthur Blvd. Irving, TX. A funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church 211 West Third Street Irving, TX with Sammy Hargrove officiating. An interment will immediately follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens 1413 East Irving Blvd also in Irving, TX.
