Condolence: Steve, Cristy, Kathy and Jan {better known as Fred back in the day}, I have known your family and mom since Steve and I rode the school bus together to Sam Houston Jr. High School back in the 60's. I have lots of memories of Johnnie. She was always the "cool" neighborhood mom who always welcomed us kids with opened arms into her home and passed out treats to us hungry kids which usually included ice cream, cookies and juice or sodas. Always enjoyed hanging out at the McGilvray house on McDonald whether it was jumping on the trampoline and watching Steve show off or just visiting with Johnnie and knowing that she was taking time out of her busy day to talk to us kids. Johnnie always seemed to take an interest in all us neighborhood kids and we always appreciated her in everything she did for us even it seemed so simple. She was a great mom and I'm so glad that she never forgot me throughout all these years because I could never forget her and all the kindness she showed to me throughout my childhood. Thank you Johnnie for all the good memories you left in my heart and thank you for giving me such a good friend and big brother in Steve that has remained all these years.
