My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the loss of Billene Lavilla Andrews. I apologize for trying to make contact in this manner, but I've been doing research on shared family history and Billene's name as well as Yvonne Norfleet's name brought me to this. My Mother was Mary Billie Knox Moore, daughter of John Caffrey Knox, son of John Knox, son of William Lucky Knox. My great aunt, Mary Knox Parker, sister to John Caffrey Knox, had done some family history that I got from my Mom that says a key source was "The Knox Family" by James McCarroll Knox, another son of William Lucky Knox. If possible, please contact me at deltonmoore@yahoo.com for a short visit about this. A short note from my materials read as follows:
"... At the end of our 'Scotland to America' chapter there is a list of the children of William Lucky(4) Knox. On that list is a son, James McCarroll(5) Knox. Our parents called him 'Uncle Jimmy.' He was a newspaper man, writer, editor and printer. In about 1918 he wrote a little book, which he titled 'The Knox Family.' It was a wonderful surprise to me to receive a (copied) copy in the mail a few
days ago. I know it was 'heaven sent' from an angel called Lavilla(6) Knox Anderson, but the earthly agent was her granddaughter, Yvonne(8) Norfleet. [She is
Melba's(7) daughter.] It is copied from one of the original little books found among keepsakes handed down from Lavilla(6) to her daughter Eunice(7) to her daughter Billene Lavilla(8) Andrews."

I sympathize with your loss of a mother, a grandmother, and a great grandmother. To me, Billene was more than a cousin. From my life as a toddler through maturity she was always a special family member: a big sister, a mentor, a confidant. She will forever remain in my memory.
