Obituary for Bob Hanson

Bob Hanson
William Robert ‘Bob’ Hanson, Jr., died peacefully surrounded by his family Friday, February 2, 2018 at his home. Bob was born in Biloxi, Mississippi on September 1, 1941 to parents William Robert Hanson, Sr. and Virginia Lorraine (Guyton) Hanson. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force serving his country 1960 to 1964. Bob worked thirty years for Ozarka Nestle Waters making many friends along his sales route. After his retirement, he found much joy in working for Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home as a Funeral Associate, interacting and helping families in their greatest times of need. Left to cherish Bob’s memories are his wife Dianne Kennedy Hanson, of North Richland Hills; son Ricky Hanson, of Frisco; his three daughters Erin Meadors, of Fort Worth, Billie Ann Woolery, of North Richland Hills, and Shenean Pulliam, and her husband Robert, of North Richland Hills; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his best friend, and constant four-legged companion, Remington (known lovingly as Remy); and a host of other family members, friends and co-workers, all whom loved Bob dearly. Funeral Services will be held for the family at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home in Irving, with Pastor Charles Barnard officiating. Following the service, the family will travel to the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas where the Committal Service will include Military Honors. The Family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family encourages memorials to PAWS for Irving Animals (http://www.pawsforirvinganimals.org/funding), in honor of Bob’s love for animals and his passion to halt all cruelty towards any and all animals.
