Benjamin F. "Ben" Dell
Ben Dell, age 72, died February 7, 2018. He was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Vernon E. and Opal Louise (Reason) Dell on December 2, 1945. Ben was previously from El Paso, Texas before moving to Irving, where he was a resident for 37 years. He served in the United States Army between 1966 and 1969, then joined the Army Reserves until 1971. Ben worked for AT&T in El Paso and Grand Prairie for 32 years as a technician, until his retirement in 2004. Ben enjoyed working so after his retirement from AT&T he went to work as a door greeter at Sam’s in Grapevine, where he worked for 13 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just being outdoors. Ben was a proud member of the Sons of the American Revolution and the Sons of the Confederacy. He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 47 years, Lynnette Dell; son Ryan Dell; brother Kenneth Dell along with numerous extended family and friends. A committal service with Military Honors will be held at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 1:15 PM. Please join family and friends for a celebration of Ben's life from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the Elks Lodge, 2015 North Britain Road, Irving, TX 75061.
