Obituary for Martin Gribble

Martin  Gribble
Martin Gribble, age 82, awoke in Heaven on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas to Rayburn and Mina Elizabeth (Burns) Gribble on June 23, 1935. Martin joined the United States Air Force in 1956, retiring in 1976, military career, Staff Sergeant. He was a graduate of Highland Park High School and member of Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving. Martin began his love and passion for artistry in 1991 and is known and won many awards for his beautiful oil paintings and pencil sketches; many of which have been displayed throughout the years at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert Gribble and Albert Lefever. Left to cherish and carry on his memory are wife Betty Joyce Albee Gribble; daughter Trish Gribble Anderson and partner Frank Beissel; daughter Bonnie Jean Faires; daughter Rebecca Elizabeth Gribble – Rodriguez and husband Joel; daughter Debra Albee Miller and husband Mike; son Jerry Albee; son Chris Gribble and wife Laura; eleven grandchildren, Kyle, Catherine, Keith, Candie, Jerry, Anna-Marie, Vanessa, David, Alexandra, Lucy, and Hannah; three great grandchildren, Hayley Nicole, Aiden Ray and Peter Thomas along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other additional extended family and friends. A visitation will be held at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 N. MacArthur Blvd, in Irving on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2018 also at the funeral home. A graveside service with full Military Honors will be 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, in Dallas. The family request memorial donations to the SPCA at https://www.spca.org/ to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at www.lls.org or to a charity of your choosing in Martin’s honor.
