Janet Lynn Akin of Grand Prairie passed away March 3, 2018. She was born on March 12, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Leonard E. Akin and Wilma Jeanne (Hamman) Akin. Janet will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandkids. She also liked watching crime solving television shows and The Walking Dead. She is preceded in death by her father and beloved dog Mick Jagger. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, mother Wilma “Jeanne” Akin of Grand Prairie; sister Cynthia Turner and husband Steve of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother Leonard Stevens Akin and wife Lisa of Irving; brother Mark Akin, Sister Carla Akin both of Grand Prairie; Sons Casey Wileman and wife Kellie of Garland; Ryan Wileman and wife Katie of Forney; and Chase Wileman and wife Chelsea of Lexington, Kentucky; daughter Adriana Wileman of Grand Prairie; grandchildren Hunter, Cody and McKenzie Preusser; Greyson Wileman and Paisley DeHart and her much loved dog E. T. Mac Henry and many other loving extended family members and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Keith Bateman officiating.
