Betty Combs, age 81, passed away surrounded by her loving family
on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. She was born in Apple Grove, West Virginia to Urias B. and Vonceil (Hughes) Tavan on September 4, 1936. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and enjoyed baking for her family. She enjoyed being outdoors, taking long walks, working in the yard and garden. Betty is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Combs, both parents and brother Robert Tavarn. Left to cherish her memory is daughter Lisa Bowen and husband Daniel of Lancaster; Lari Reininger of Irving; Diane Crepeau and husband Mike of Dallas; son Michel Combs and wife Kelly of Arlington, Texas; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister Patricia Lowry and husband Charles; sister Linda Lohse-Smith and husband David along with numerous extended loving family and friends. The family requests memorial donations to Pancreatic Cancer research at https://www.pancan.org/honormemorial-gifts/ in honor of Betty.
