Melvin C. “Eddie” Stewart, age 88, died on Saturday, June 30, 2018. He was born in Buffalo, New York to Melvin Clinton and Maria Antoinette (Hammer) Stewart on June 16, 1930. Eddie served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a 20-year resident of Coppell. He was employed by Julius Schepps Wholesale Liquor Co., retiring in 1998 after 33 years. Eddie is preceded in death by both of his parents and his brother Bill Stewart. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Frances Stewart and son Scott Edward Stewart. The family will receive friends at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 N. McArthur Blvd. in Irving between 9:00 and 10:00am, with a funeral service beginning at 10:00am on Thursday, July 5, 2018. A committal service with Military Honors will be held 11:15am, on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, in Dallas.
