Obituary for Don Miller

Don Miller, age 79, died peacefully at home on Saturday, July 14, 2018. He was born in Potosi, Missouri to Theodore Stonewall and Buleah Marie Miller on September 20, 1938. Don served active duty in the United States Navy for 10 years. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making homemade fishing lures. Don was a huge fan of the Texas Rangers, enjoyed listening to alternative country rock, his favorite performer was Kidd Rock. Going to garage sales, bookstores, playing slots and reading western books, fishing and hunting magazines was a favorite pastime of Don’s. He will always be remembered for the homemade movies he made for the whole family, always drinking sweet tea and above all, the love he had for his beautiful grandchildren. Don is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Allen, Russell, Robert, Lawrence and Jack Miller, and sister Peggy Chamberlain. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 43 years, Janice Elaine Miller; son Frank Mason and wife Priscilla; son Darrell Miller; daughter Karen Blanton and husband Monte; Mike Miller and wife Beverly; daughter Teresa Mason and husband Andrew; son Robert Miller and wife Lee; 16 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; brothers Ralph, John and Jerry Miller; sister Dorothy Head as well as numerous loving extended family and friends. The family will receive friends between 6:00 and 8:00pm, on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 N. MacArthur Blvd. in Irving. A funeral service will be 2:00pm, Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the funeral home with interment at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 E. Irving Blvd. immediately following. The family request memorial donations to a Fort Worth no kill animal shelter.
