Jeffery Alexander Mathena, died at the young age of 29 on December 4, 2018. Jeffery was born in Irving, Texas on February 4, 1989 to his beloved mother Belinda Diaz. Jeffery was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin, and grandson, who will be dearly missed by all. Jeffery enjoyed doing things any other person his age would enjoy, going to concerts, pop music, and video games. He left too soon but will never be forgotten. He joins eternity with his grandfather Theodore Luera Diaz Jr. and together they will look over those who stay behind. Left to cherish his memory are mother Belinda Diaz and spouse Samuel Maciel; sister Jordan Diaz; grandmother Olivia Diaz; uncle Juan Diaz, aunts Cristina Diaz, Elena Brown and husband James, cousins Jennifer Ross, Emma Ross; as well as numerous other extended family and loving friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm – 8:00pm with a Rosary held at 7:00pm on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX 75061. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, December 10, 2018 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 202 South MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX 75060. An interment will immediately follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 E. Irving Blvd., Irving, TX 75061. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Leukemia Lymphoma Foundation.
