Condolences

Condolence From: John and Patsy Reed, Timothy and Bethany Humphries, Betty Sumner
Condolence: AuntJoyce,Stephanie,Steve,Tyler,and Holly:
We were so sad to hear about Uncle Tommy's passing. As I read the obituary I was amazed at all the things I did not know about him. I did not know he was in the Navy. As a child growing up you may hear about them but not remember them as an adult. What I do remember is when you and Uncle Tommy would come to Grandpa and Grandma's house. You paid attention to the kids which was wonderful to us but more important you paid attention to our grandparents, helping them fix up their house or playing games of dominos with Grandpa or teasing Grandma. He understood the importance of family.
When I viewed the memory video it became clear to me how much love there was in your family. And how much time you and Uncle Tommy spent with Stephanie, Steve, and those wonderful grandkids. I saw happy times with family and friends. Uncle Tommy will be missed by all of our family. But he joins most of our family in heaven and leaves us here with our memories. Let us cherish them until we join him once more. We will be thinking and praying for you today. It is a great honor our country does on behalf of their veterans and I know you will cherish this memory also.
Love,
John and Patsy Reed
Timothy and Bethany Humphries
Betty Sumner
P.S. Tim is a farmer. He would make the perfect Texan. He has a big red truck and all he needs is some longhorns on the front.

Condolence: Aunt Joyce, Stephanie, Steve, Tyler and Holly-

When I think of Uncle Tommy, I can't help but picture him as I remember from childhood when we were so fortunate to live near Grandpa and Grandma. This meant we were always near when the "Texas kids" came home to Arkansas and got to enjoy Tommy and JoJo and Stephanie. Most times, Aunt Modean and Uncle Jerry and Aunt Lois and Uncle Art would be on those visits too.
Tommy and JoJo were always ready to play ball and ready with a laugh too. Uncle Tommy always made you feel he was learning from us with questions but we were really the ones learning and enjoying it.
Great times then and since on whatever the occasion or opportunity to visit.
Our thoughts and prayers for comfort to you in knowing that Tommy is comfortable and is enjoying his rewards for a life of caring and loving.

Condolence: JoJo and Steph, my thoughts are with you as you walk a difficult path. I have so many fond memories of Uncle Tommy. He was a great uncle for a kid to have. I remember when he would leave for overseas and return with dolls from other countries for Sandi and me. They were always cherished. I don't know if you remember the time that you guys were here with Grandma Nunn and we stopped at a restaurant in Webster. Well, Sandi and I kind of conned you into getting us a doll and a horse. I still have that doll to this day.

Uncle Tommy also had a really wonderful sense of humor, as you well know. I'll always remember the time that, while I was talking to him, your phone rang and I told him to answer it. He was so funny because he couldn't answer it. I could hear you laughing like crazy in the background. And then another time I called and he didn't know who I was because I sounded like one of your friends. I really got him going and, again, I could hear you chortling. My early memories and these will always be held dearly.

Uncle Tommy will be missed but never forgotten.

Condolence: This is the part of growing older that always gets to me. Another person from my childhood who had a positive influence on me. Always welcomed me into their home and treated me like family. I will always cherish sitting around in the house or backyard just talking and laughing. Playing cards or dominoes or making homemade ice cream. We had the best group of people on our street who looked out for each other. Tommy you will truly be missed and it was a honor to have been blessed to have known you all these years. Rest in Peace and no more suffering. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends.
