Jose Antonio Cortez, died unexpectantly at the young age of 25 on Thursday, December 14, 2017. He was born in Dallas, Texas to Jose Luz Cortez and Sofia Salas on September 10, 1992. Jose attended and graduated from Irving High, class of 2011. He was a country boy at heart who enjoyed having fun and spending time with his family and friends. Above anything, Jose loved, looked forward to and enjoyed the time spent with his new bride, Jackie and 2 beautiful daughters. Left to carry on his memory is wife Jackie Cortez; daughters Janee Romero and Jaslynn Cortez; parents Jose and Sofia; brothers Eivan and Rudy Cortez; sister Claudia Cortez along with numerous extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 N. MacArthur Blvd., in Irving, with interment at Oak Grove Memorial immediately following. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home between 6:00 and 8:00 pm, Monday, December 18, 2017.
