Condolence: Mr. Wimbish and family lived in our neighborhood! He was a such a friendly man and encouraged me to be a teacher. I taught at Hanes Elementary for 26 years, and I am now teaching at a private school. Many of my teacher friends worked at Farine with Mr Wimbish and they loved him. The students loved him too! I send my condolences to his sons and family. He will be missed!

Condolence: I will always remember Mr. Wimbish fondly! He was so kind and gracious when I was a mid-year transfer at A.S Johnston back in the mid-sixties. He walked me to my new classroom and assured me he had assigned me to the best 5th grade teacher he knew. (He probably told all the new kids that!) He treated all his students fairly with kindness and respect, and was a gentle authority figured we hated to disappoint. Deepest condolences to his grieving family and friends. He was a fine man.

Condolence: As one of the first female principals in Itving ISD, Wallace treated me with respect and helped me learn the ropes. He once told me that he expected me to take over public education in Texas. I laughed but due in large part to what I learned as an elementary principal in Irving, I went on to become one of the first women superintendents in Texas and the first female president of The Texas Association of School Administrators. Thank you, Wallace, for seeing more in me than I saw in myself!,

Condolence: Mr. Wimbish was the principal at A.S. Johnston when my daughter started kindergarten. We worked in PTA with him while he was at Johnston. He was a great role model for the kids and I admired him very much. Condolences to his family and may you find comfort knowing that he was remembered and loved by those lives that he touched.
