Obituary for Richard Marion Duryee

Richard Marion  Duryee
Richard “Dick” Duryee of Irving passed away February 3, 2018. He was born on October 3, 1933 in Alma, Michigan to Dexter M. Duryee and Queenie Mable (Cartwright) Duryee. Dick was honorably discharged from The United States Air Force after serving his country from 1951 until 1955. He later worked for Omni Hearing Systems as a Laboratory Manager retiring in 2004. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Barbara Duryee. Left behind to cherish his memory are wife Judy Duryee of Irving; son David M. Duryee of Dallas; daughters Sherry Ross and husband Michael of Wills Point; Karen Walter and husband Charles of Arlington; son Bill Anderson and wife Stacy of Pflugerville; daughter Susan Anderson of Kemp; twin brother Fred Duryee and wife Leah of Whitney; sisters Sherril Scheyer of Cedar Hill; Darlene Scharich and husband Elmer of Unionville, Michigan; grandchildren Jeremy Madson and wife Erin of Ft. Worth; Shawn White; Ashley Walter; Hanna Hixon; Ian Anderson; Keenan Anderson and Jordan Knipp; great-grandson Dexter Madson and three great-great grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to DFW Humane Society at www.dfwhumane.com. A inurnment service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.
