Obituary for Phil Nailling

Phil Nailling, age 73, died unexpectedly at his home on June 18, 2018. He was born a true Texan on December 26, 1944 to John and Opal (Coble) Nailling. Phil was a quiet and stoic family man, a loving and great husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed fishing and playing with his dog and loved spending time at the lake with his entire family and lake family and friends. He will be remembered for being a very handy, hardworking, do it yourself kind of guy, always fixing and tinkering on things, who had a heart of gold and was always willing and eager to help anyone and everyone with anything they may need in life. Phil honorably served 6 years of active duty in the United States Army. He also spent 18 years working at Century Trucks. Phil is preceded in death by his parents; left to cherish his memory is his wife of 14 years, Raylene Nailling; Brother JW Nailling and spouse Debby; sister Casina Baird and spouse Leon; daughter Shaun; daughter Rachel; son Josh and spouse Amy; his beautiful 5 grandchildren which he adored Charlie, Alexis, Taryn, and the twins Legend and Cross, along with numerous extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas.
