Dovie Eldine Elliott-Barnes of Irving passed away October 13, 2018. She was born on March 8, 1921 in Forgan, Oklahoma to George Washington Elliott and Lottie Belle (Schaffenburg) Elliott. Dovie will be remember as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to dance and ride horses. She enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Chester James Barnes in 1974. Left to cherish her memory are son Cleberne Barnes and wife Esparanza of Irving; daughter Frances Lawrence of Mesquite; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of extended family members and friends.
