Othar Clayton Brown, for the most intimate and closest to him “Brownie” or as his buddies knew him, O.C., died peacefully on Monday, October 29, 2018 at the age of 81. He was born in Gatesville, Texas to Isaac and Cordelia (Thomasson) Brown on Saturday, December 19, 1936. O.C. was a fleet manager in the automotive industry and enjoyed playing rounds of golf during his free time, he quickly became an avid golfer after his retirement. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, and the ability to cheer people up. His lighthearted laid back and jovial spirit left an impact on all those that met him. O.C. not only had one of the biggest hearts, he was a handy person, and mechanically inclined always willing to help others. He is preceded in death by both parents and loving wife Nadine Brown. Left to cherish his memory are son Rob Reece and wife Shannon; sister Betty Burleson; brother Billy Brown and Donna; Niece Noel Byrd along with numerous extended family and loving friends. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the SPCA in his honor.
