Obituary for Joel "Joe" Sanchez

Joel "Joe" Sanchez
Joel “Joe” Sanchez, age 68 went home to be with The Lord on Thursday, November 1, 2018. Joe was born in San Angelo, Texas on May 3, 1950 to Juan Sanchez and Irene (Robles) Sanchez. Joe was a loving husband, father and grandfather; he loved all his family to the “Moon & Back”. Joe loved God and shared his faith with anyone that would give him the chance. He never met a stranger and never passed an opportunity to share his personal testimony. Joe was a hard worker, spending his career working in the truck driving industry. One reason for his continual success in his work was his old school approach to time; “on time” to him was an hour early. You could always count on Joe, he had a great sense of humor and was always joking around. Joe loved to golf, fish and grill. His fajitas will be especially missed by all. Joe is preceded in death by his parents and nephews Benito Sanchez Jr., Benito Sanchez III, and Paul Timothy Sanchez. Left to cherish his memory are wife of 48 years Vickie Sanchez; daughter Elisha and husband Nelson Cruz; grandchildren Geovani Joel Nolasco, Abigail Cruz, and Isabella Cruz; brothers John Sanchez and wife Dolores, Ben Sanchez, Paul Sanchez, and Henry Sanchez; sisters Mary Arteaga and husband Richard, Alice Silva and husband Israel; as well as numerous other extended family and loving friends.
