Bobby Joe Carlisle, age 81, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 16, 2018. Bobby was born on June 8, 1937 in Shelby County, Tennessee to Isaac Chambliss Carlisle and Lelia (Brashear) Carlisle. Bobby spent his working career as a freight salesman for ABF, receiving many awards for his hard work. After retiring Bobby spent time traveling, playing dominoes and enjoying the beauty of nature. He loved watching wild life and even adopted four cats. He owned Corsicana Motors where lunches on Thursdays were legendary. Bobby was a devoted and life-long Christian. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; brother Bennie Carlisle; and wife of 25 years Joan Carlisle. Left to cherish his memory are children Mike Carlisle and wife Jennifer, Dennis Carlisle and wife Kim, Karen Courson and husband Mike; grandchildren Ronnica, Janet, Dylan and wife Linda, LeAnn, Nickolas, Zackary, Michael; great grandchildren Carlisle, Ryker, Elena; nephew Kevin Calcote; life-long best friend Shelba Carlisle; beloved feline companion Marcella; as well as many other extended family and loving friends. The family will receive friends from 9:00am – 10:00am on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX 75061. A funeral service will follow at 10:00am at the funeral home with an interment immediately following at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 E. Irving Blvd., Irving, TX 75060.
