Obituary for William "Bill" Hickey

William “Bill” Hickey born July 26, 1924 in Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully on December 22, 2018 at West Park Village in Irving, Texas. Bill was a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army, having spent his military career fighting in the European African Middle Eastern Theater during WWII: he was decorated with two Bronze Battle Stars and a Good Conduct Medal. Bill is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anita Jean Hickey of sixty-seven years, daughter Pamela Jean Hickey, father, William R. Hickey, mother, Ethel Williams Hickey, sister Helen Rush, and great-niece Debbie Gutierrez. Bill is survived by his son William F. McHam, niece Chelia Mires and husband Roy, nieces, Carolyn McCombs, Jody Rogers, brother-in-law Ralph Arnold and wife Mary Beth, numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews, two grandsons, a granddaughter, and special friends Paul and Eva Rannefeld. A visitation will begin at 9:30am, on Monday prior to the funeral service at 11:00am on Monday, January 7th, 2018 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd. Irving, Texas 75061 with an interment following at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.
