Alton Reeves, age 85, passed peacefully in the early morning on Friday, December 28, 2018. He was born in Traywick, Texas to Dewey and Velma (Houseworth) Reeves on Wednesday, May 10, 1933. Alton was a U.S. Airforce veteran where he proudly served his country, after his honorable discharge he worked as an insurance adjuster for Allstate Insurance, where he retired after 30 years of service. Alton was an avid golfer, enjoyed skiing and a Master Mason with the Freemasons Lodge 1218 A.F. & A.M. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandkids. He is preceded in death by both parents, beloved first wife of over 30 years, Ailene Reeves and one sister, Velma Glenn. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 16 years, Judy Reeves; daughter Kay Vansteenburg; grandchildren Blake and Lauren Vansteeburg; brother Jack Reeves along with numerous extended family and loving friends. A graveside service will be held 11:00am, Monday, December 31, 2018 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 E. Irving Blvd in Irving.
