It was with a heavy heart we learned in the last few days of Raymond's passing. We wish we had known as we would have liked to come to the memorial service and paid our respects in person. Dad still gets around but stays on the east Dallas side of the world and Dana lives in Costa Rica and we live in Virginia. Raymond was one of a kind. His kind heart and Texas way made you love him and I can tell you my Dad loved him and is sad to hear of his passing. Because Dad loved Raymond we loved Raymond and were always honored to see him and visit with him. He was always interested in Dana and my lives and I can say that he was one of the icons that we patterned our lives after. His genuine interest in what Dana was doing or where I had been with the Marine Corps made a visit home incomplete without speaking with him. We thank you for that Raymond and we will pray for the whole Davis Family as they adjust to Raymond's homegoing. If there is anything we can do for you do not hesitate to reach out 540-207-0824.

To the Davis family from the Robert Varnell and David Varnell we send prayers and condolences to all of the family. Our Dad, Willie C. Varnell and Raymond were longtime friends. Dad talked about Raymond often and Dad looked forward to the company BBQ every year as I did, because dad would bring home Davis Crane t-shirts and caps for me and my brother. I know Willie was one of the 1st to people waiting at the Pearly gates to welcome Raymond with open arms.
Sorry missed the service but I was unaware of Raymond's passing, until my best friend Tim Brown called me.

My deepest sympathy to the Davis family. Raymond was a great man and will be remembered by all. I really enjoyed working with him and the rest of the Davis family. Prayers for all of you!🙏
