Thomas "Babu"  Mathai
Thomas “Babu” Mathai, age 68, died on January 23, 2019. Thomas was born on March 17, 1950 in Pampakuda, Kerala, India to Mathai Itten and Mary Alackal. Thomas retired from the United States Post Office after 34 years of service. He was a well-educated man, having earned his master’s degree. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Joy and Peter. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Elsey Thomas; sons Kevin Thomas and wife Sherry of Houston, Bob Thomas and wife Sujata of Dallas, Alan Thomas and wife Teseline of Florida; sisters Santha Matthew, Leesha Babu and Nobi Sunny of India; grandchildren Riya, Katelyn, Aryan, and Siena; as well as many other extended family and loving friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm – 9:00 pm Friday, January 25, 2019 at St. George Malankara Orthodox Church, 1627 E. Shady Grove Road, Irving, TX 75060. A funeral mass will occur at 11:00 am Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the church followed by a graveside service at Rolling Hills Cemetery, 400 Freeport Parkway, Coppell, TX 75019.
