Eileen Summerville, age 95, died on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. She was born on Sunday, January 6, 1924 in Johnson City, New York to George Lawrence Becker and Ora Adele (Corey) Becker. Eileen moved to Irving in 1968, She was an office manager for Handleman Co. in Dallas, Texas for 27 years before retiring in 1989. She lived a long happy life and will forever be remembered for the love and compassion she showed toward others. Eileen is preceded in death by her parents, husband Sam Summerville, sister Virginia Roselyn Becker, brother Franklyn Edward Becker and son Bob Summerville. Left to cherish her memory are grandson Joshua Summerville; daughter-in-law Alayne Merenstein; nephews Lou DeNovellis, Richard DeNovellis and Bobby Lynn Roberts along with many extended family and loving friends. The family will receive friends one hour prior to a service at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd. in Irving, Friday, February 1, 2019. The Visitation will occur from 12 noon until 1:oo pm, with the Funeral Service starting at 1:oo p.m. on Friday. Burial will occur at 10:30 am, Monday, February 4, 2019 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway in Dallas. All attending the cemetery service should arrive by 10:15 am in Lane 3 by the Visitor’s Center.
