Billy Van Ashmore, 72, of, Mississippi succumbed to multiple organ failure on Thursday, January 31, 2019. Billy was born Thursday, August 29, 1946 in Mississippi to JR and Eppie Lee Ashmore. He graduated from North Dallas High School in 1965. He was preceded in death by his parents JB and Eppie Lee Ashmore, his wife Sandra Ashmore, his brothers Edward and Tommy Ashmore, his sisters Annie and Betty Ashmore and his daughter Michelle Ojeda. He is survived by his brother Jackie and wife Pam, his brother Johnny,his sisters Janet and Teresa, his son Kelly Ashmore and wife Alicia Ashmore , his son Steven Ashmore and wife Shana Ashmore, his daughter Tiffany Furtado and husband Antonio Furtado, his grandchildren Jeremy, Jacob, Alexia, Arianna, Alyssa, Dylan, Alizabella, Victoria, Kathleen, Brooke and Morgan, and girlfriend Deborah Corley Bently.
Billy loved sports, especially football, his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. He worked as a Bartender for over 40 year and as a vending technician for over 20 years. He spent his free time watching various sports games on TV and enjoyed gambling at Winstar and Eldorado Casino.
A special thank you to the people at Parkland Hospital for their loving care and support during his final days. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Brown’s Funeral Home for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.
A Memorial Service to celebrate the wonderful life Billy lived will be held on February 16, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Brown’s Memorial Home, 707 N MacArthur Blvd, Irving, TX 75061
